Cheryll Hutchings is currently Managing Editor of the Boomer Babes Rock Dream-Zine. Like many boomer babes, she has a ga-zillion projects going at once. One current project is the development of a Boomer Babes cookbook.
Keri Wyatt Kent is a 40something mother of two junior high kids. The author of six books and co-author of several others, she writes about connecting spiritual formation with real life. She is a sought-after retreat leader who travels the country speaking and encouraging women to deepen their connection with God and to pursue their God-given dreams.

Driving through suburbia, where I live, sometimes feels like being in a movie, where the same background loop of film plays over and over. One section of roadway looks the same as the next: the strip malls all have the same stores, and if you go ten miles, you’ll see the same stores flashing by you again: Home Depot, Target, Panera Bread. They are all national chains. The local mom and pop stores are in the minority.
I find myself wondering—who is going to all these stores?
“WHAT?” I spun my chair around to look at my husband.
“It’s been turned off,” he said. “They came five days earlier than I asked.”
“So….what do we have?” I asked.
